Ferry operation on the Fehmarn Belt
Since 2007, Scandlines has been a privately owned company connecting people from all over Europe travelling between Germany and Denmark.Our mission is to create unique ferry experiences with our modern ferries, frequent departures and strong service. We do all this while constantly striving to find the best and most sustainable solutions.

We continue to operate around the clock, always ready to serve the many travellers who want a relaxing break on their journey to Germany or the rest of Europe. We are investing millions in our green agenda and the goal of green ferry service by 2040. It is ambitious, but first and foremost it is responsible. As a company with deep roots in both Germany and Denmark and approximately 1,400 dedicated German and Danish employees, we are proud of our function and the experiences that our service helps to create for more than 6 million travellers every year.

With the upcoming establishment of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel, we see an exciting time ahead of us. The infrastructure project is a welcome supplement that will bring additional activity, especially on the Danish islands of Lolland-Falster, which will benefit greatly from it.

We have always been dedicated to transporting passengers quickly and comfortably across the Fehmarnbelt, and this dedication remains unchanged. No matter how the landscape changes, we will keep on sailing because we know that the need for our service will remain.
